Dear Parents of World Changers, We are gearing up for the 2021-2022 school year and what a year we expect it to be! CBA will continue to add one elementary grade each year until we reach 8th grade, and the 2021-2022 school year will be the first year CBA has offered 5th grade. The school also continues to fulfill its holistic vision as we are continuing Sports School, online tutoring through Kids on Mission, and private music lessons. Our campus continues to grow as we plan to enroll over 200 students this coming year. We are currently working to continue the [...]
Dear parents, Please see below for updates to our early dismissal and tardy policy in the CBA Parent-Student Handbook. Pick-Up and Custodial information All parents/guardians receive an Authorized Pick-Up card for all students in their family at the start of the school year. On the application form, parents identify the only people who can pick up their child. For students whose parents are separated, divorced, or single, the parent who resides in the home needs to provide custodial information to the office when submitting the student’s application. The school will not get involved in a custodial dispute or provide any extra [...]
Be sure to keep up with all things CBA on our main FB page, the CBA Community Connections page, and Instagram! Parents, if you haven't already, please join CBA Community Connections on FB, a closed group for those within the CBA community, where you can encourage other parents and ask about carpooling, group nanny services, and more. Please be mindful of others when posting pictures on social media. We are very thankful for the parent volunteers who help maintain these pages!
Dear padres,We ask that you **please arrive on time** or a few minutes early to pick up your Lunch Buncher so that your child is in your care no later than 12:30pm. We realized we live in an area with heavy train and car traffic; however, the state has very strict rules about the number of hours preschoolers can spend on campus each day, and we would love to be able to continue to provide the Lunch Bunch program. If you have any questions or would like help looking for a carpool, please feel free to give us a call, check out the Parent Directory, [...]
All preschool (20-month-old to 4-year-old) classes are holding circle time OUTSIDE this year, weather permitting. If you know of anyone interested but not already attending CBA this fall, help us spread the word that a parent can enroll to participate in a socially distanced, age-appropriate circle time Monday-Friday. Circle times are interactive group sessions that last around 30 min (depending on age), where little ones sing, dance, participate in a story and learn key concepts in the target language. There is no registration fee; unlimited circle time access costs $132/month. Students enrolled in Kids on Mission receive a 25% discount. [...]
Starting this fall, CBA parents will receive an automated text message every morning that your child is scheduled to attend asking: 1) if your child will attend school that day and 2) the questions from our COVID-19 Community agreement. If you reply “No” to the text, you will automatically get a call from the school so that you can leave a message to let the office and your child's teachers know they will be absent. Thank you for your patience while we get this new system up and running!
First and foremost, all CBA parents will agree to protect our community. Parents will sign this commitment agreeing to stay home if they suspect their child has COVID-19, the child has tested positive for COVID-19, the child has COVID-19 symptoms, or their child or any of their household members have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19. Parents will also daily affirm that they have not had a close exposure to COVID-19 nor are symptomatic. The school will also take students’ temperatures daily before students are allowed to join their class. Students and staff will be excluded from school [...]
