CBA’s goal for GivingTuesday is $40,000 and we already have received two $10,000 matches from CBA parents! The GivingTuesday donations will be used to provide Christmas bonuses and future benefits for our faculty and staff. CBA’s per pupil expenditure is 66% than CCSD. CBA staff, teachers and admin earn less than 70% of their public school counterparts’ paycheck. This year, Giving Tuesday is our only fundraiser for our faculty and staff. Spring’s Boosterthon this year will focus on the new campus renovation at Holmes Avenue Baptist Church. As stated in the video below, the goal is to network with CBA family networks to provide new donors.

CBA is a qualified 501(c)3 nonprofit., and the CARES Act qualifies up to $600 per couple in donations to 501(c)3s to be tax-deductible, even for families who do not itemize charitable donations; that is to say, you will receive this deduction above your standardized deduction. About GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Join the movement and give – each Tuesday and every day – whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.

It’s a simple idea: whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to contribute toward building the better world we all want to live in.
