CBA expands security measures on campus

Please help us welcome retired First Sergeant Lenny Johnson. He officially joins the CBA team as the Director of Facilities and Security on Tuesday. Mr. Johnson retired from the Army after 24 years of service during which he earned two Purple Hearts. "A Purple Heart is a solemn distinction and means a service member has greatly sacrificed themselves, or paid the ultimate price, while in the line of duty", according to the USO.  He will put his extensive experience to use at CBA (in part) working with our staff and students on our lockdown and security drills.  The addition of Mr. [...]

Mask requirement for K through 5 students + additional protocols

The Charleston Bilingual Academy Task Force has made the decision, at this time, that all students in kindergarten through 5th grade at Charleston Bilingual Academy should wear a mask or face shield at school. Through our ongoing discussions with area doctors and our Board, we believe this is one additional step we must take to slow or stop the spread of COVID during this peak time of transmission. We are regularly meeting with our task force to assess our protocols, and we strongly believe masks or face shields are an additional layer of protection for our students and our [...]

Videos from Navidad/Christmas 2020 – A Tour of the Birth of Jesus

Our annual Christmas production was a success: outside, masked, and conveying the message of Jesus’s miraculous birth.    We thank our teachers, staff, and volunteers for pulling off this endeavor, and Mrs. Margarita Hart for her vision!   We also thank CBA parent Carlyle Brown for these professional videos that we hope you'll watch and cherish with your family! **We kindly ask that you do not post these videos on any social media sites.**
