Dear parents of 4th grade students,
Your child’s class is going on a field trip! This is an excellent chance to further your child’s learning outside of the classroom.
In this trip to Fort Sumter, the students will get to observe and experience where the first battle of the Civil War took place, as well as hear many stories and facts from several perspectives of the Civil War era.
ITINERARY
9:45- Begin eating snack in class
10:05- Pack up and assign students to each chaperone/driver
10:15- Depart CBA for Liberty Square downtown (340 Concord St, Charleston, SC 29401)
10:30- Park, arrive, get tickets, board ferry
11:00- Ferry departs
11:30- Arrive at Fort Sumter, tour, visit museum
12:30- Board ferry
1:00- Return to Liberty Square, tour other museum
1:30- Depart for CBA
2:00- Arrive at CBA
Please remember NOT to order Food for Thought for this day and wear a warm coat since we will be outdoors.
