Dear parents of 3rd grade students,

Your child’s class is going on a field trip! This is an excellent chance to further your child’s learning outside of the classroom.

This trip gives students the opportunity to have hands-on experience with the history that they are learning in class. They will learn how candles were made in the colonial days and make candles just as they did. They will also learn about the Native Americans that lived in the low country, listen to the legend of the cornhusk doll, and then make their own corn husk doll.
