Dear parents of 3rd grade students,
Your child’s class is going on a field trip! This is an excellent chance to further your child’s learning outside of the classroom.
As we begin our colonial unit, students will visit the site of the first colony in South Carolina. They will attend a staff-led interactive lesson about how the colony started, explore the park and museum, see animals that the colonists interacted with and walk through buildings modeled after the colonial homes.

ITINERARY
8:45 – Depart CBA
9:30 – Arrive, stretch legs, and snack
10:15 – Walk in the park — Bathroom break
10:30 – Colonial program begins
12:00 – Lunch
12:45 – Explore park and museum in small groups
2:00 – Depart Charlestowne Landing
2:30 – Arrive at CBA
Transportation: The students will use personal vehicles or school bus for transportation.
Cost: $12.00
Payment: Venmo @charlestonbilingualacademy no later than December 4, 2024.
Students should:
- Wear the field study uniform (Lime-green CBA T-shirt and khaki pants or skirt).
- Bring a warm coat since we will be outdoors.
- Bring a packed lunch and water bottle (please remember NOT to order Food for Thought for this day.
