CBA Permission Slip – Grade 3 Field Trip to EdVenture Columbia – April 2025

Dear parents of students in 3rd grade,

Exciting news – we are heading to EdVenture Columbia on a field study trip!

Field Study Date: April 11, 2025 ***Please note drop-off and pick-up times below!

Class: Science/Spanish

Lead teachers: Victor Nuñez & Katie Needham

Purpose: In our second unit, 3rd grade students have explored force, motion, magnetism, and energy, studying how and why things move through the power of force and energy. This field study will allow us to experience these concepts firsthand through engaging, hands-on activities. In our first unit, we learned about the human body, and at EdVenture, we’ll get to explore it in an exciting way with “Big Eddie,” a larger-than-life model of the human body. It’s a fun and interactive way to remember how the body’s organs work by climbing inside and exploring them up close!

Cost: $15/student

Details:

The cost includes tickets to EdVenture Columbia.
Students must wear the CBA Field Study uniform – DARK green (not mint green) 2025 Fun Run t-shirt & khaki pants/shorts/skirt.
Students should bring a lunch with them. *Please do not order from Food for Thought for this day.
Students should not bring money nor any electronics; we will not be visiting the gift shop.

7:00am – Parents drop off students at CBA

7:15am – Depart CBA (snack in cars)

9:45am – Arrive at Edventure Columbia

10:00am – Motion Commotion program

11:15am – Magnificent Magnets program

12:15pm – Lunch

1:00pm – Explore “Big Eddie,” the 40 ft. tall kid (human body)

3:00pm – Depart EdVenture Columbia

Approx. 5:00pm – Arrive at CBA (**Teachers will send ETA update to parents via ClassDojo)

Transportation: Chaperones’ personal vehicles
