Recently, grade 3 “experienced” colonial times during their English-History class. God places specific people in specific times of history as He unfolds His story.  Students spent the last couple weeks researching founders and early settlers of the 13 colonies, learning what it means to persevere and overcome obstacles. They then wrote diary entries as if they were that person. When real people have real stories to tell, they get together and tell them! Students enjoyed sipping on tea (in real tea cups!), weaving cloth and making their own marbles out of clay as they told their stories to one another. Imagine the stories our students will have to tell as they seek to know and understand the part they can play in history.
