The 2021-2022 school year is half over! We have just completed semester 1. It is CBA’s desire to partner with parents in the learning journey of each and every child. Communication about a student’s learning progress is an important part of that journey. Early childhood teachers are working diligently to prepare progress notes to communicate where your young students are socially, cognitively, and physically. Elementary teachers are diligently writing progress reports that communicate information on your child’s academic progress as well as their learning behaviors and character development that impacts all of learning.

Each school year, CBA students in grades 1 – 5 take the MAP Growth Test in English reading, Spanish reading, and Spanish mathematics at the beginning, middle, and end of the year. Students will be completing these important assessments beginning Jan. 18. MAP Growth tests provide immediate and accurate information about your child’s learning by providing a picture of what your child knows, what they are ready to learn, and whether they are on, above, or below their grade level. After this mid-year testing (January), you will receive a Family Report showing a summary of how your child is performing academically over time.

You can expect reports to be distributed before the end of January. Early Childhood (pre-school and KG) will receive a progress note. Elementary (grades 1 – 5) will receive a report card and a separate MAP test report.
