During the last month, Charleston Bilingual Academy has been so blessed by our families, and we want to take the time to honor those people and convey our great gratitude.
We had some strong and willing volunteers help us move equipment from CE Williams in September. We secured new desks, tables, chairs, books, and so much more for our school. We appreciate those volunteers who carried items, loaded down their cars and trucks, and who did it all with a smile and servant’s heart. Our students will be so blessed by this new equipment.
Students are definitely loving the parent volunteers who stepped up to deliver pizza on Pizza Fridays so far this year. Our students (and parents) really look forward to this treat each month, and it wouldn’t be possible without the parents coming to the school and delivering the pizza to each student in our elementary school.
Through our blood drive, we were able to collect 23 pints of blood. Each person who donates potentially saves three lives. That means through your donations Thursday, we can impact 69 people. We’re so thankful you’re willing to give your time to participate. And because we hosted the blood drive at CBA, the school also earned $460 dollars.
And specifically for our teachers, the Pack the Pantry campaign, led by two of our parents, has been such a sweet blessing. Teachers now have so many options for snacks and drinks in all three locations where they work: the Armory, the main office, and the blue house. Thank you to the parents who organized and for the families who donated!
And both for and to our incredible teachers, we also need to give thanks! They have shown extreme flexibility in moving classes and equipment outside; adjusting their classrooms and teaching to an outdoor setting; and handling the challenges of a new environment (like noise and bugs).
We truly have the most loving school on the planet, and we thank God every day for each of you.
