The CBA afternoon sports and club programs give students additional opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, develop character, and explore activities that interest them through hands-on practice and teamwork.

Register below for the 2024-2025 school year!

Semester 1 (Fall): August 19 – December 20, 2024

Semester 2 (Spring): January 7 – May 16, 2025

IMPORTANT

A parent or legal guardian must attend practice if the student is not enrolled in Kindergarten AND is younger than 5 years old on
September 1, 2024.
Priority is given to CBA students. Students who do not attend CBA are welcome to join afternoon programs if space is available.

REGISTRATION

Register for all activities using the form below.
Once CBA receives your child’s registration form, the office will notify you if space is still available.
- Once we reach capacity for an activity, we will start a wait pool and notify parents.

COST

Each activity has a registration fee and a monthly cost; see the chart below.
Some activities have a supply fee that is paid at the beginning of each semester.

PAYMENT

Families will receive a Quickbooks invoice each month.
Families may pay directly via Quickbooks or Venmo to Charleston Bilingual Academy.
Please click “View and Pay” on each invoice to view all line items/charges for that month.
Payment is due on the 1st of the month.
The 1st month must be paid before students attend the first practice.

WAIVERS

Parents must electronically sign these waivers, found in the registration form:

All Sports – CBA Universal Sports Waiver
AS APPLICABLE (see form below) – Authorization to ride the CBA bus or in personal vehicles driven by a CBA staff member/volunteer/chaperone from the HABC campus (4602 Durant Ave) to the FBC campus (5032 Lackawanna Blvd) or to the North Charleston Sports Complex (1455 Monitor St).

PICK-UP

Students must be picked up promptly when the class ends. There is a $5 charge for every 10 minutes a child is picked up late.
Instructors will communicate pick-up locations before the first practice.

COMMUNICATION

Instructors will use the ClassDojo app to communicate with registered families.
Families will receive an email invitation to join the ClassDojo group before the first practice.

The youngest class is geared towards students who are 5yo on Sept 1, but students who are 4.5yo may attend one trial day to determine eligibility to enroll in the class. *Sensei Cabrera strongly recommends students attend 2 days/week, as students transition to more advanced movements at each class. The karate-gi price is based on market price at time of order and will be communicated to parents at the beginning of the first semester. The cost will apear on the family’s invoice.
