Dear Parents, In this update, I will explain our COVID plan as the Omicron variant has hit Charleston. I honestly believe God has been glorified in how the CBA family has walked this path over the last 22 months. Even as we represent many different opinions, we have kept the unity and thankfully no children have been severely sick. Statistics indicate that a vast majority of adults have either been vaccinated or have had the virus, which increases their antibodies. Dear CBA parents, I write this email with a full heart! God started this school 6.5 years ago in December 2014. We had 7 kids sign up, some of whom are pictured above in CBA's first Kindergarten class. We hired 3 teachers who volunteered the first month so we could have income to pay them the next month. I remember taking every odd job after hours (washing windows, taking real estate pictures, landscaping, renting our home on AirBnB…). Hola padres, Thanks to Pam Davis and our dedicated parent volunteers, the Kids on Mission (KOM) Summer prize boxes are ready for pick-up for families who chose that option! You can pick up your child's box at their pick-up time on Tuesday and Wednesday. Preschool and Kindergarten can pick up boxes on the basketball court. Buen viaje!

Thanks to our two 4-year-old Pre-K classes, CBA Kindergarteners and their families enjoyed breakfast and fellowship last week! This sweet tradition is a highlight of the CBA Kindergarten experience and we are so thankful to everyone who made it a memorable time. CBA's 3rd and 4th grade class is thankful to the DNR ACE Basin Estuarine Research Team and Water Mission for sharing their knowledge of natural resources and wildlife with them! The class recently visited the ACE Basin Estuarine Research Center on James Island as part of their project-based learning unit on endangered species, and friends from Water Mission also visited the class this spring.
