On February 12, the Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF) program announced that legislation going to the SC House next week includes proposed major changes that would allow more CBA families to be eligible for a scholarship!

Proposed major changes include:
– an increase in the scholarship amount from $6,000 (24-25) to $7,700 (25-26)
– the lifting of an eligibility requirement that students must have attended a public school last year

The program states that “Any students in SC resident families whose incomes fall below 300% of the federal poverty level [(HHS Chart below) may now be] eligible for the program.”

The student participation cap for 2025-26 is currently set at 10,000 students.

*****CBA encourages all families who are considering financial aid options to apply to the ESTF program (deadline: March 15). *****

Please call the office or email records@charlestonbilingualacademy.org if you have any questions about filling out the form.

GRACIAS!
