Early Childhood

Location: At Friendship Baptist Church (Preschool and Kindergarten campus)

Time: 11:00 am -12:00 pm (Doors will open at 10:00 am)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • If your child does not normally attend on this day, please arrive early with your child around 10 am and make sure your child uses the bathroom first. Then, (3 and 4 yr olds) drop off in the classroom, (2yr olds) have seat in the back of the sanctuary.
  • If you are the parent of a 2 yo: Our youngest children can be very nervous for their first performance or distracted by all the people and therefore frequently try to escape from the stage. For this reason, our 2 yo parents dress “biblically” and join their children on the stage. You can get pieces of fabric from us, buy a sheet and a pillowcase from Goodwill or repurpose an old one from your house, family, or friends. Here is a no-sew how-to video.
    • You will have assigned seating in the back of the auditorium with your children’s teachers (so our littles don’t distract others as much). When the first song is announced, you will get on the stage with them.
    • Please learn the song they are singing to help out our 2 year olds. It’s one of the most popular contemporary Christmas carols in Spanish. Here is a video with the movements (if your child will do it) and a video with the lyrics is here
    • After the song, we hope you will sit back down and watch the rest of the concert, but we understand if this is not possible. In that case, please exit discreetly through the back.
  • Seating for others:
    • The rest of the classes will be with their teachers.
    • 3 yos will join their parents when they have finished their performance.
    • 4 yos and 5 yos will be with their teachers for their grade performances, and then they will sing in the Grand Finale, so they will not be released to parents until the end of the concert.

    • Audience members will sit on a first-come, first-served basis.
      • The very first row will be reserved for parents to rotate forward for the duration of their child’s song and take a better video while sitting down. There will also be space in front of the benches for those who can kneel on the floor. We are trying to ensure that no one’s view is blocked.
