Framily Fun Run
Dear CBA Parents,
The biggest day of the year is coming fast! We are expecting 500 people to come to the first-ever CBA Framily Fun Run on April 30. Leading up to this exciting event, we have several activities planned.
You’re reading that right. “Framily” is a combo of friends and family, and we hope you invite them all to participate in our Fun Run fundraiser on April 30 and in the weeks before the big event.
To get started, each student will need to register an account at https://mybooster.com/. Every student who is registered by Thursday, April 7, automatically gets a prize during our school-wide pep rally on Friday, April 8.
When: Saturday, April 30th from 10:00 am- 1:00 pm
Who: CBA family and friends
Where: Danny Jones Track/Football field (right next to the Armory Park)
How much: The event is free! But students can raise sponsorships in order to win prizes leading up to the Fun Run.

There are two big reasons we’re doing this event.
1) We want to hang out. We see the CBA community as our family, and it’s time for a family reunion.
2) This is our school’s big fundraiser this year. Our goal is to raise $60K for our teachers for next year.
CBA is a special place. Because of our deep desire to share the love of Jesus, we are not able to receive federal/state funding like charter and public schools. So 100% of our school is financed through tuition payments and donations. Currently, CCSD spends over $22,000 per student, and our desire to provide the best education in the state while doing it at less than a third of the cost. This is only possible by donations, fundraisers, generous subsidies from Friendship Baptist Church and the City of North Charleston (lower rent). Our teachers, staff and administration team agrees to earn approxomately 66% of public teaching counterparts and without insurance or retirement benefits. However, it is our desire to yearly take better care of our team as they love our children. What a special place! And what a special day. Mark your calendars for April 30th.
