Elementary (grade 1 – 5) students will return to school on Monday, August 16th. The first three days are abbreviated for MAP testing. This test allows us to establish a base for where students are academically as we start instruction.
Please drop students off and pick students up at the soccer field. Students should come in uniform with a water bottle. The schedule for the first week will be as follows:
Monday- Tuesday 8/16-8/17

- 8:30-9:30 am 4th- 5th grade: Students will take 60-90 minutes to complete the test. Please pick them up at 9:30 am at the soccer field.
- 9:30-10:30 am 2nd-3rd grade: Students will take 30-60 minutes to complete the test. Please pick them up at 10:30 on the soccer field. *Some 3rd graders might take longer.
- 10:30-11:00 am 1st grade: Students will take 20-30 minutes to complete the test. Please pick them up at 11:00 am on the soccer field.
Wednesday 8/18
Meet the Teacher is at the Armory Park playground for 2nd- 5th graders and 1st Graders are at the CBA basketball courts.
- 8:30-10:00 am 4th-5th grade parents will MEET THE TEACHERS from 8:30 – 9:00 am. Then students will stay to complete their final MAP test. Students will take 60-90 minutes to complete the test. Please pick your child(ren) up at 10:00 am at the soccer field.
- 9:30-11:00 am 2nd-3rd grade parents will MEET THE TEACHERS at 9:30 – 10:00 am Then students will stay to complete their final MAP test. Students will take 30-60 minutes to complete the test. Please pick your child(ren) up at 11:00 am at the soccer field.
- 10:30-11:30 am 1st grade parents will MEET THE TEACHERS at 10:30 – 11:00 am. Then students will stay to complete their final MAP test. Students will take 20-30 minutes to complete the test. Please pick your child(ren) at 11:30 am at the soccer field.
*If you are unable to drop your child off at the scheduled time and would like for him/her to test at 8:30 am, please email mhart@charlestonbilingualacademy.org.
