CBA Permission Slip – Grade 3 Field Trip to Joint Base Air Show – 4/19/24

Dear parents of 3rd grade students,

Your child’s class is going on a field trip! This is an excellent chance to further your child’s learning outside of the classroom.

Students have been studying force and energy in Spanish class. Joint Base Charleston is hosting an exciting Airshow STEM Day to inspire and educate students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This event will feature thrilling aerial displays, 30 static aircraft displays, interactive exhibits, and hands-on activities that engage and cultivate students’ interest in STEM-related careers.
 

All students should:
– Bring their lunches and water bottles.
– Wear their lime green CBA t-shirt (the FunRun shirt) and khaki pants or shorts.

 Optional:
– Students may bring $5 ($5 ONLY) to purchase a drink if they would like but they may not share money with others.
– Students may wear a hat and sunglasses and bring sunscreen if needed.
 
Students should NOT bring cameras or any sort.

ITINERARY The class will depart CBA at 9:00am and drive to the Joint Base. Students will view and participate in 30 static aircraft displays, interactive exhibits, and hands-on activities that engage and cultivate students' interest in STEM-related careers. Students will eat lunch on the grounds and should should bring their lunches and water. Students will enjoy an airshow and return to CBA at 2:30pm.
