Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character–that is the goal of true education.” To inspire world changers, it takes a partnership – a partnership in multiple facets including seeing your children become men and women of character. Paul, in the book of Ephesians, calls on the children of God to be imitators of Christ. Ephesians 5:1-2 puts it this way: “Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children, and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.” Each month we focus on a character value we desire our students to imitate. We invite you to partner with us in that endeavor by talking together, speaking blessings over your child, and reading together. Read on for suggestions!
