Read the descriptions below to determine where we have needs and where you would like to serve. While this is the full list of volunteer opportunities, these are the greatest needs right now.
Please note, the volunteer positions where adults interact with children will require a background check.
Every Thursday from 8:00 am – 12:30 @ Armory Guard
After dropping off your little one(s) you would watch over the Armory. The person is responsible for keeping the front door locked; assisting with filling water bottles; and keeping an eye on the bathroom. You may bring your laptop or anything personal to work on while here. You can sign up for every week or for the weeks you’re available.
Monday – Friday @ CBA from 8:30 am – 12:30 @ CBA Front Office
Every morning for 30 to 60 minutes we like to serve our teachers coffee and pastries. This is a great way to get to know the teachers and staff more and to get a glimpse inside the classrooms! Anytime between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm we also could use assistance answering the doors or walking a child inside to the bathroom from the playground, cutting, laminating, photocopying, etc. We often need an extra person around so that the staff can work without interruptions. You may bring your laptop or anything personal to work on while here. You can sign up for time slots and days you’re available.
Yearly, Ongoing Commitment @ home
Every class is to have at least ONE Room Parent who helps communication between the teachers and parents via text and email. You may want to send weekly reminders about PE day or reminders about teachers’ upcoming birthdays or a class celebration. A Room Parent frequently checks on the teachers to ask if they need any assistance with photocopies, cutting, laminating, decorating their door or classroom, etc. Then you can delegate how to get those projects done utilizing other parent volunteers. There will be training on being a great Room Parent if you choose to embark on this prestigious role.
