CBA Elementary and Upper School students wear uniforms. Wearing school uniforms offers several benefits for students, both academically and socially. Uniforms help create a sense of equality among students by reducing peer pressure and competition related to clothing choices, allowing them to focus more on one another’s character rather than outward appearance. This shift encourages deeper, more respectful relationships and fosters an environment centered on who students are—not what they wear. Uniforms also promote unity within the school community, helping students take on a shared identity and pursue a collective sense of purpose. Even the shirt colors are chosen intentionally—symbolizing both our world and Jesus, the light of the world—reminding students daily of their purpose, identity, and calling to shine in their communities. Additionally, dressing in a consistent and appropriate manner supports a mindset of “dressing for success,” which can enhance focus and academic engagement. By wearing uniforms, students begin to see themselves as leaders, embracing values like modesty, professionalism, and responsibility. Furthermore, uniforms make it easier to identify students and prevent outsiders from entering unnoticed, contributing to a safer school environment.
