It’s time to walk… Walk for Water, that is! Grades 6 – 8 are sponsoring the CBA team at Water Mission’s Annual event to raise money to help those who do not have access to clean water. Last year, 125 people walked with the CBA team, and our goal was to raise $1,000 but we raised over $2,500! Our goal is to have 150 people sign up to walk with CBA and raise $3,000 this year. Family and friends can register to walk with CBA HERE by selecting “Charleston Bilingual Academy.” Here is the link to share this year’s photos after the walk.

Join us for our big event on Saturday, March 29, at Riverfront Park (1061 Everglades Ave., N. Charleston, SC 29405). Together, thousands of people will come together to bring clean, safe water to more than 14,000 people in need around the world. The event kicks off at 8 a.m. with games and activities for the family to enjoy, and the Walk begins at 9 a.m.
A HUGE SHOUT OUT goes to our CBA students and families, because we have raised a total of $3,003.43 as a school! Our school goal was $3,000 and you surpassed it! Way to go! This will help get water to the lives of 60 people who currently do not have safe water. A shout out for our class competition goes to Miss Ferguson’s fourth grade class (4A)! They raised a total of $289.39! Way to go! You earned a pizza picnic at the playground of your teacher’s choice! Miss Runyon’s first grade class (1A) came in second place raising a total of $243.70, and Miss Tian’s second grade class (2A) came in third place raising a total of $220.88.

The WalkForWater walk is Saturday, March 29, at Riverside Park. We now have 43 walkers for our team! If you want to join us, please go here and register to join team ‘Charleston Bilingual Academy’.
