Dear Parents of Charleston Bilingual Academy,
CBA partners with a local company, “Food For Thought,” to provide a completely optional lunch program for the students of grades 1st – 7th. Everything is completely customizable for your child and family on the website from the company providing the lunches.
www.FoodForThoughtCharleston.
If you decide to have lunches provided for your child, the process is simple:
-Go on the website, www.FoodForThoughtCharleston.
-Create an account for your student(s) by choosing Charleston Bilingual Academy and their class (example: 2A) NOTE for Returning Lunch Participants – each student needs to update their class for delivery option)
-Choose your meal (Lunchbox Meals or Full A La Carte Menu)
-Pick the date
-Process payment
-Lunch gets delivered
IMPORTANT NOTE: I recommend you order your lunches on a computer, not on your phone. Especially the first time when you are setting up your account and the lunches. Make sure you continue ALL THE WAY THROUGH PAYMENT PROCESSING. Otherwise, your order is not complete and your child will not have lunch as you were anticipating. If you look at the schedule and the lunch is NOT there, it is NOT ordered. After the 1st time, it is SO easy.
The most important thing I want to mention is this is an optional lunch delivery service providing both hot and cold lunches directly to the school. There are no minimum days per week, no minimum to your order and is completely flexible to your needs.
If you order a soup, I would encourage you to send a bowl along with your child as the container may sometimes get messy during transport. The portions are big. I do not want to encourage you to under order for your child, but make sure to have conversations with them to make sure they are not just throwing away a bunch of food.
If you have any questions regarding the process, please contact Food For Thought directly. I am happy to answer any questions that are not related to processing an order or setting up an account.
Thank you to the Staff of Charleston Bilingual Academy and Food For Thought for making this a possibility,
CBA Parent,
