Process

Current Families

In January, current families will receive an invitation to re-enroll current CBA students for the following school year.

New Families

New families may inquire and apply at any time. They will be considered once priority re-enrollment ends in February.

Fill out the Charleston Bilingual Academy Inquiry form. There is no charge to fill out this form and no commitment to enroll.

02 Interview & Tour

Once you submit an Inquiry form, you will automatically receive an email invitation to schedule an interview and tour with the Head of School.

Tour Information:
  • + Main Tour: The tour confirmation email will indicate where each tour will start.
  • - Early Childhood (2yo-5K): FBC Campus (5032 Lackawanna Blvd)
  • - Elementary (Grades 1-5): Holmes Avenue (HABC) Campus (4602 Durant Ave)
  • - Upper School (Grades 6-10): Centerpoint Church Campus (1520 Remount Rd)
03 Apply

After your tour, the admissions office will send an invitation to submit a formal Application form. To complete the packet, families will need to:

  • Provide school references and records
  • If applicable, provide a report documenting your student’s performance (academic and behavior) along with the parents’ good standing with prior schools (relationally and financially).
  • Complete the CBA Post-Tour Questionnaire within 2 business days
  • Submit the application fee and the associated credit card fee directly to FACTS Management, the host of CBA’s family portal and student database.

04 Review & Status

The admissions committee will review the application packet and contact you with next steps. All families will be notified of status regardless of decision.

05 Enrollment

If accepted, your child’s spot is reserved for 2 business days. Enrollment is completed via the FACTS family portal:

  • Submit student records and birth certificate
  • Submit SC-DHEC immunization or exemption forms
  • Review the Parent-Student Handbook and pay the non-refundable downpayment
06 Shadow Days & Wait Pools

The CBA Admissions Coordinator will communicate next steps upon receipt of the student's application packet.

Shadow days are required for Gr 2+.

Students entering grades 6-12 will interview with the Upper School principal.

Entrance assessments may be required for students in grades 3-12.

Wait Pools: Wait pools do not carry over to the next year.
