Let's Celebrate at CBA!

An important aspect of project-based learning (PBL) is to do real work for a real need for real people. Recently, grades 5 and 6 were able to do just that! Students are asking the question, "How can we welcome refugees and immigrants well to Charleston?" Take a look here at what Lutheran Services had to say about students at CBA.

The CBA Father Daughter Dance details are below. Please register by January 24.
 
When: February 4, 2023
Where: Armory, 5000 Lackawanna Blvd. North Charleston
Who: All CBA girls and their Dads (or any substituting adult)
Time: 5:30-7:00 pm
Cost: $15 for each couple, An additional $5 for each additional daughter.

K5- Grade 6

Pizza Friday will start again in February. The total cost for Semester 2 is $35 per child. Please pay in full no later than January 31. Click here for all of the details.

February 1: Director's Chat/Parent Connect: Creating a Culture of Fostering & Adoption

There is a major need for families to foster and adopt children in our state right now.

In the last report from the Department of Social Services in July 2022, there were more than 237 children in foster care in Charleston County alone. In Berkeley County, there were 150, and in Dorchester County, there were 56. There simply aren’t enough foster homes for all of these children.

EC Tip of the Week: Reminder to ALWAYS pack a snack!

We wanted to remind everyone that your child will ALWAYS need to bring a snack to school. Many classes have snack time earlier in the mornings before lunch. Therefore, if CBA has early release, early dismissal or Pizza Friday your child will still need to bring a snack.

CBA would like to offer CBA families access to some of the amazing training that our staff receives during the year. Our first session will be “Wondrous Brains: Neurodiversity”.
