November 28-December 1: Celebration of Giving

Dear CBA parents,

Fall is upon us, a time of year to count our blessings and share our blessings! As I count the blessings I see in and at CBA, I would like to invite you into an opportunity to share blessings through our Celebration of Giving.

The “Celebration of Giving” begins November 28, Giving Tuesday, through CBA’s 9th birthday, December 1!

Do you know a family who is interested in joining the CBA community? CBA currently has a few spaces available in this year’s (2023-24) 4yo program and is offering a $200 tuition credit to current families who refer a new family that enrolls their 4yo for this (2023-24) school year. If you know someone who is interested and has a child who was 4yo on 9/1/2023, please refer them to the admissions page on the CBA website. Once they complete a CBA Inquiry form (where they can let us know you sent them!), they will receive more information and an invitation to join an upcoming school tour!

November 16: Last Day for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes

It’s that time of year – Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes! You can still pick up boxes at drop-off or pick-up. Once we run out of empty boxes, families can use their own shoeboxes or order colorful preprinted ones. CBA families can drop them off at the FBC or HABC campus through Friday, November 16.

November 17: 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Feast for Grades 1-7 and Pastors

We are excited to continue our 3rd annual CBA Elementary/Middle School Thanksgiving Feast! We are happy to invite our local pastors and Donors as a way to say “Thank you”. We hope that students will learn that “great things are done by a series of small things brought together.” Please help your children in this lesson by allowing THEM to participate by bringing their assigned item to their classroom by Nov. 15.

December 10: CBA Christmas Concert

The CBA Christmas Concert will be December 10 at East Cooper Baptist Church (361 Egypt Rd, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464).

Come before the concert to see CBA student art on display in the lobby before the concert and hear live music from 2:30 – 2:55pm. The program will begin at 3:00pm.

This year, for the first time, CBA middle school students selected an elective class (art, drama, or yearbook).  The classes meet for 2 hours a week during school hours. The Yearbook class is made up of 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students who are enthusiastic about representing your child's year at CBA in a beautiful keepsake. The yearbook will be available to purchase in the spring and will arrive before the last day of school.

Join CBA at Panera Bread (5070 International Blvd, CHS) for our last Spirit Night of the year! CBA will earn 20% of sales during this time.

Friendship Baptist Church
Pastors Mark Timmons and John Lane welcome you to Friendship Baptist Church (FBC) and invite you to worship with them each Sunday at 11 am. Bilingual services are held in English and Spanish on the 1st and 3rd Sunday every month. On all other Sundays, Pastor Mark Timmons leads the English-language service and Pastor Luis Carreon leads a Spanish-language service.  A fun and engaging children's program is held during the service.  Find out more by emailing Pastor Mark directly (mtimmons@friendshiptoday.org), calling FBC (843-225-1434), or going to the FBC website. Holmes Avenue Baptist Church
Pastor Bryan Ayers welcomes you to visit Holmes Avenue Baptist Church (HABC) to worship with them on Sundays at 11 am. Holmes Kids gather during the worship time for age-appropriate worship and teaching from newborn through grade 4.
