"Intercultural" At CBA
Our mission reads: "Partnering with parents to inspire world changers through Christ-centered, intercultural, language immersion education". Every word and component has been intentionally crafted, trying to succinctly express our DNA. Dr. Johnson takes a deeper dive into the “intercultural” word.

Assessment This Week
Each school year, CBA students in grades 1 – 5 take the MAP Growth test in English reading, Spanish reading, and Spanish mathematics. MAP testing for grades 1-5 is the week of January 18-21. Mrs. Lane explains (click the link) what that will be like for your child and why these assessments help guide our teachers.

Progress Reports
Progress reports are in the works but take time. It's a big undertaking. Teachers are in the process of assessing social, cognitive, physical progress for our early-childhood students.
The data collected from MAP tests are also part of the assessment teachers do for elementary-aged students.
You can expect we will release progress reports near the end of January.

Hear from Dr. Johnson + Mrs. Lane
In January, Dr. Johnson and Mrs. Lane will host a series of three Parent Chats on January 19 and 20. Two will be at the school. One will be virtual. The hope is that each chat will focus on a specific grade level.
And if you want to hear specially about how CBA approaches reading and the first grade (a big question we get every year), Dr. Johnson breaks it all down here.
