Let's Celebrate at CBA!

Students in grades 5 and 6 have been asking the question, ¿Cómo podemos cuidar el mundo de Dios y usar Sus recursos de manera responsable? How can we care for God’s world and use His resources responsibly? As they study to gain understanding of the world in which they live, they have investigated renewable and non-renewable resources and learned that there is a crisis – a water crisis!
Our students had a goal to raise $400 for Water Mission. They raised $1,368.28 in total, ($323.23 was raised on Water Crisis Day alone)!

Prevent Language Regression with LOM Summer Classes
|
|
This warmer weather is making the kids begin to itch for summer break! But we know that, along with the unhurried, sunny pool days, comes the potential for a regression in learning.
Be intentional about keeping up the language progress that your child has made this year. This could include library books in the target language, podcasts, TV shows... but we all know that language is best practiced in community.
The team at Language on Mission (LOM) would love to come alongside your family to help maintain your child's language progress. Check out our summer Spanish and Mandarin class options today!

Taking the Time to Discuss and Discover Connections: Of St Augustine and a Visit from the Firefighters Let’s start with a story. A popular apocryphal tale from the Middle Ages relates that one day, while St. Augustine was struggling with the concept of the Trinity, he took a break from his studies and walked along the beach. He saw a child running back and forth between the surf and a hole in the sand that was far enough from the sea so that it would not be destroyed by the waves. The child was using a shell to bring ocean water from the surf and depositing it in the hole.

CBA has purchased Parent Resource books that you can informally checkout and will be available at Parent Connect & PTF Meetings. The books help to support us specifically with raising kids to know and love Jesus!
We would also like to grow our books to ones that we can read TO our kids. If you would like to purchase a book or two to donate, you can do so by clicking here. Books will ship to a parent volunteer who will label and have ready for the next Parent Connect!
