Project-based learning At CBA
One of the phrases you will hear a lot at Charleston Bilingual Academy is "project-based learning". We want to unpack what that means for our students.

Picture Day
All CBA students will take their school pictures the week of January 31 through February 4. We will send more details closer to the that time. We are still finalizing the schedule. Elementary school students should wear their school uniforms.

MAP Testing
MAP testing was a success last week. We are still working on makeup testing for students who were out of school or unable to take the test last week.
|

Progress Reports
Progress reports are in the works, but they take time. It's a big undertaking. Teachers are in the process of assessing social, cognitive, and physical progress for our early-childhood students.
The data collected from MAP tests are also part of the assessment teachers do for elementary-aged students.
You can expect we will release progress reports near the end of January.

Kids on Mission
Our Kids on Mission virtual learning program is underway! But there is still time to enroll in the program.

We have a few very important days coming up in the next couple of months that we want to get on your calendar so you can plan accordingly.
JANUARY 17, 2022 - No school in observance of MLK Day.
JANUARY 18, 2022 - Enrollment opens.
JANUARY 19-20, 2022 - Parent Chat series for rising kindergarten and first grade families.
FEBRUARY 18, 2022 - Early release for K-5th grade. No lunch bunch. No sports.
FEBRUARY 21-22, 2022 - Winter Break. No class.
MAY 25, 2022 - Last day of preschool.
MAY 27, 2022 - Last day for elementary-age students.
