Let’s Celebrate at CBA! CBA held its first annual intermediate School leadership retreat in October, with the theme Lead from Behind. Students studied what it means to abide with Christ (John 15) and to then let that relationship flow into the fruits of loving others. They participated in many team- building activities, such as "Capture the Flag" and a bonfire, completed service projects for the retreat center, and brainstormed ideas on how they can foster a posture of serving their classmates, the school, and the community.

Early Childhood Tip of the Week

Establishing a Smooth Routine: Establish consistent early-to-bed, and early-to-wake routines, to give you enough time to get the kids ready in the morning and still beat the traffic and the train. Take advantage of arriving early to socialize with other parents and let your child spend some time on the playground, which is a great transition to entering the classroom. This may help alleviate stress and big emotions, and students may be less likely to forget food, backpack, jacket, etc.
Kindergarten families: You will be even more ready for 1st grade!

CBA will be participating in Samaritan's Purse- Operation Christmas Child again this year with Friendship Baptist Church. Pick up your shoebox(es) at the main campus or at the Armory.
