Weekly Celebration Report
‌

Celebrating 10 Years of Walking in God’s Story!

We are overjoyed to commemorate a decade of inspiring world-changers, building community, and creating lasting initiatives to glorify King Jesus. Last week we kicked off our 10-week countdown by celebrating the Christ-centered culture that exists at CBA. This week we’re shining a spotlight on Intercultural Immersion Education!

We invite our CBA community to READ this story and WATCH the video of what makes Charleston Bilingual Academy truly special!

CBA Mighty Oak Artist of 2024-25

CBA Mighty Oak Artist of 2024-25
‌

The voting is complete and the new “CBA Might Oak Artist” of 2023 - 2024 has been declared! Colossians 2:6 -7 reminds us, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” We desire our students to be rooted and built up in God’s Truth. And we want them eager and able to communicate that in multiple languages and multiple platforms. The annual artist contest encourages students of all ages to draw a Mighty Oak Tree that will represent CBA for the year. This year 37 submissions were judged by a panel of 25 CBA Faculty and Staff members. Feel free to stop by the SCB Front Office at HABC to view all the entries as well as the winners!

CBA Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

‌ CBA Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month 2024

September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month! Ethnic diversity is a beautiful thing and part of God’s ultimate design where one day, we will see “a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:9)

CBA Financial Planning
‌

Family Financial Planning

At Charleston Bilingual Academy, we are committed to transparency regarding our financial practices. Our goal is to ensure that you are aware of all potential costs associated with your child’s education throughout the school year so you do not feel “nickled and dimed”, and can plan accordingly without any surprises.

October 2: Morning Mingle & Parent Connect

845
‌

Calling all CBA Parents! Join other parents after drop off for coffee, donuts and great conversation beginning at 8:15 am in the fellowship hall at HABC. This will be immediately before the Parent Connect which starts at 8:45.

In October, Parent Connect will explore how to strike a balance between supporting our children while helping them grow into resilient and capable leaders. Take-aways from the book, Anxious Generation, will be explored as we note the rising levels of anxiety among today's youth and the role that modern parenting, societal pressures, and technology play in shaping this trend.

October 2-3: Pack the Pantry for FBC & HABC Teachers

‌ pack-the-pantry-5

Pack the Pantry is one of the many thoughtful ways parents can show the teachers their gratitude! It is as simple as 1-2-3.
1. Parents can make a designated donation to the PTF (Venmo @CBA-PTF is preferred, last four 8944).
2. The PTF will purchase healthy snacks (or occasionally meals) in bulk.
3. PTF volunteers will distribute the food across all campuses so that teachers can grab them whenever they need a power boost.

Feel free to give as little or as much as you would like. It is a blessing that our teachers truly appreciate, and it wouldn’t be possible without you!

Venmo is @CBA-PTF (it is now linked to our PTF debit card)
