Dear CBA parents,
Fall is upon us, a time of year to count our blessings and share our blessings. As I count the blessings I see in and at CBA, I would like to invite you into an opportunity to share blessings through Giving Tuesday.
In our CBA Family Financial Planning post, we hope that we were transparent with the ins and outs of the subsidies we rely on to maintain low tuition for our families. Would you now begin to pray about inviting someone to join us in supporting our mission on our birthday, Giving Tuesday?
The bottom line is that it takes so much more than tuition to run our school or any educational institution. We know that many CBA families are sacrificing just to pay tuition as it is. Our heart is that you would begin praying about potential partners. Grandparents? Your church family? Your supervisor? Charleston Bilingual Academy is registered as a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization operating under the name Clapham Education Group and all contributions are tax-deductible. We invite you to join us in prayer for December 3, and to save that date as our 10th anniversary!

October 26: CBA Holiday Mini Photoshoot

 |
The CBA PTF and parent volunteer photographers are hosting a Holiday Mini Photoshoot on October 26 from 4-6pm at Hampton Park, downtown Charleston. Each family will get a 10-minute time slot and will be paired with a CBA photographer who is graciously donating their time to help the PTF raise money to support our school and our wonderful faculty and staff. This is an excellent opportunity to get an updated family photo, and they will be ready in time for your Christmas cards.

Come celebrate our 10th birthday at CBA's 3rd annual Fall Festival!
When: November 8 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm
Where: Oak Terrace Preserve Playground (5172 East Liberty Park Circle, North Charleston, 29405)
Tickets:
General Admission is FREE; we will have activities (jump castles, festival games) and food for which you may PURCHASE TICKETS in advance (https://my.cheddarup.com/c/cba-fall-festival-tickets/items?cart) or at the Festival.

Friendship Baptist Church
Pastors Mark Timmons and John Lane welcome you to Friendship Baptist Church (FBC)! Discipleship classes for all ages begin at 9:30 am followed by a time of fellowship. Sunday worship service begins at 11am! Bilingual services are held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month. On all other Sundays, Pastor Mark Timmons leads an English-language service and Pastor Luis Carreon leads a Spanish-language service. A fun and engaging children's program is held during the service. Pastors Bryan Ayer and Walter Brigman welcome you to visit Holmes Avenue Baptist Church (HABC) to worship with them on Sundays at 11 am. Holmes Kids gather during the worship time for age-appropriate worship and teaching from newborn through grade 4. October 25: HABC Drive Thru BBQ Dinner

Holmes Avenue Baptist Church will have a drive thru BBQ Dinner October 25 from 4:00-7:00pm to benefit Operation Christmas Child. We will use all of the funds to cover the price of shipping for all the boxes delivered to our campus during collection week! Families can go ahead and preorder your meals! You can prepay through Venmo @BRYANAYER or pay cash at the door. If you are paying through Venmo please indicate how many adult plates & how many child plates you will be ordering in the memo field. We will have them ready at pick up for you! Menu: BBQ pork sandwich, cole slaw, baked beans & dessert. Cost: $15 per adult and $10 per child 12 & under Location: Holmes Avenue Baptist Church, 4602 Durant Ave, N Charleston
*CBA families are able to pick up meals at school dismissal beginning at 2:00pm.
