Project Description

4th / 5th Grade – Mrs. Lastrella comes from a long line of teachers. Her family is from the Dominican Republic and she grew up bilingual in the United States. Ms. Lastrella has a Master’s Degree in Teaching from East Carolina University. She originally came to CBA seeking a bilingual education for her children and then taught Spanish immersion to the third and fourth grades last year. She writes: “I love what the school represents, the passion I see in the administrators and teachers, the joy I see in the students, the level of Spanish that the students are really learning (which makes me excited for my own children) and the fact that it has a Christian basis. I love the idea that my children and I are surrounded by like-minded people and can encourage each other in our faith, form a community, and share bread together. “
